"Scam" is in the heart. And I don't think there is any capacity for that in her. Perhaps it is only the break in communication that has created this impression for you. Nor would I construe her long absence as anything other than being more urgently occupied by other personal matters. It might make for less exciting thread fodder, but the causes, the attendant circumstances and a perspective of the fuller picture, which only she may give us, would likely soften your heart.
