The Pistons crumbled this year true, but I still maintain that at their best, they have the best starting 5 in the NBA, and one of the best in history. Detroit isn't declining, and they won't for another 3-4 years. Well, maybe sooner with Wallace leaving. Chicago is on the rise, but they are 5+ years away from a championship contender. Why don't you realize the fact that Wallace wasn't going for opportunity, but for an extra 4 million dollars. Maybe he finally realizes that he's a joke on offense and no longer a threat on defense, so he'll take the most money he can get. This is why the new school NBA will always be inferior to the oldschool NBA (teams like the Spurs and the Heat).
