2. computer is in family room or room with access to everyone, not behind closed doors.
3. parents periodically check on kid to see what he is doing online.
4. kids only use internet for educational purposes. they want to play game, play xbox, they want to talk to friends they use cell phone. I had to wait till i was 17/18 to drive, playing online unsupervised is worse then giving them the keys to your car and telling them to go take a joy ride.
5. install software for those times that they do a search for white house, lol and I wouldnt let them have email, too many assholes sending porn (nudity) in mass emails.
If you do that explain to me how they would be exposed to it.
Also a huge amount of education of the dangers of the internet.
Oh wait all that i mentioned is asking too much of parents, it is easier for them to ignor the problem and let the govt try to get ride of porn LOL. good luck trying.

Bullshit?
1. Since when? What do you expect the parent to do, unrealistically take the computer with them to and from work? What about kids sneaking off in the middle of the night to get their WoW fix while everyone is bed? What about school?s computers? Friends? Library? Coffee shops?
2. See 1.
3. See my post
4. A lot of family?s use their computers for gaming and that shouldn?t change in the near future. It?s stupid to say they shouldn?t use a computer for gaming and to stick to an Xbox. Still supervise them and this is no different than playing Xbox live.
5. You can?t stop them from getting e-mail, far too many free services. Also the high school I went to now requires an e-mail address (of child, as well as parent) for school updates and report card info.
So again, 75% of kids can be successfully governed by their parents and kept to a minimum of exposure to the horrors of the internet. 25% probably are either (a) to unruly for their parents and instead of looking up porn will be too busy fucking getting stds and/or getting pregnant or (b) to smart for their parents and will successfully find ways around filtering software as well as getting on computers from other sources. I think a 75/25 estimate is pretty accurate.
It is just simply unrealistic to say that everything in the world is the parent?s fault, even though the majority clearly is. My parents were both computer illiterate and thankfully during my time porn we had was good old fashioned playboy magazines. Porn on the internet took ages to download (man? VIVO technology introduced a whole new generation to digital porn! 40 hours for 2 minutes of porn hahaha).
