Hmmm... orthodox seems to be the problem here. In the religious world, "orthodox" equates to "take all the little pieces you choose from your good book, add a couple of nasty twists, wrap it all up in a stinking little mess, tie a bow around it, and call it a 'back to basics' form of your religion. Then go forth, create havoc (and death, if that's on your agenda), and hide behind your "orthodox" views." Religion is always a good excuse to impose your belief system on someone else... by force, if necessary.
Not being a person who practices a "god-based" religion, I find it very disturbing that so many people around the world are willing to blindly accept and live by (and distort) ancient words in a book simply because "that's the way it's always been done". Which is not to say I believe all Muslims or Catholics are "bad"... just misguided.
