Lump sum. It makes the math a LOT easier. Also, that way you've
bought the right to use the content for a month...year... 10 years without
needing to keep dealing with her if she moves on, flakes, etc.
Percentage is just asking for problems because, like has been said... they always want more than they are worth and will then want to start making business and financial decisions. I could see only doing percentage with someone you know well... or for someone who comes to you. But otherwise, for someone you hired off the street.... keep the math simple.
If you DO percentage.... make it of the net after all the other expenses like hosting, designers, billing companies, affiliate payouts...
