A good portfolio only has 1 or 2 photos in it from the same photographer. If she is looking to build a portfolio, her agency should have a large list of photographers willing to do TFP that they can refer her too.
Or go to
Modelmayhem.com and find photogs & make-up artists in your area who's work you like and set up a TFP with them. If they don't have a make-up artist for the shoot, don't even bother showing up.
Regarding you going along, it's pretty much common rule that Boyfriends are not allowed on shoots. This applies to Porn and Mainstream. I am sure you can go in with her and meet the guy/girl, but usually you are expected to leave during the shoot.
