Absolute rubbish. Any sport is absorbing if you take the time to get into it and not if you don't. And if you click your other brain cell into gear, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out that any sport with global appeal on a huge scale has something going for it, even if you cannot figure out what.
If you want to stir up a little drama, why not ask why US sports fans have allowed their field sports to be turned into advertising fests. See you later honey... I'm going to watch the time outs this afternoon...
