Great book compiling his personal correspondence with book editors, family and the hoarde of psychotics that were his inner circle. Simultaneously reading his first book of letter, "the proud highway". Also good but he had yet to perfect his rantings and verbal castrations to the level seen in "Fear and loathing in America".
