Sure ... and that goes both ways Antonio... all that is needed is a basic charge initially.
Who knows.. prob the state prosecutor still don't know, - till they get all the data collated, the "map" sorted and credibility and strength/weakness of evidence, it's very hard to say what the "main" offense and any substantive offenses may be.
Dunno what it's like in the US on this, but the tendency in some other areas is to "pile on" charges to impress a jury how "wicked" the defendants are - then wheel in 50 cartons of what may appear to be evidence to show how big that is.
(Truth can be 49 cartons of unopened photocopy paper borrowed from an office).
