Marriage can be heaven or marriage can be hell. If you can keep the excitement and romance alive, stay faithful and communicate well those are key ingredients to making it last.
Having kids changes the dynamics of your marriage. I'd recommend waiting a few years before doing that. Kids are the best thing that comes out of a marriage, but also the most challenging thing for your marriage. And remember if you have kids and get divorced, you have to deal with your ex until your kids grow up.
