A lot... a helluva a lot actually. They are coming close to being able to re-use more and more of the toxic byproduct back into the system, reducing energy production costs as well as reducing toxic waste that nuclear power produces. By no means is nuclear energy 'green' as some republicans would have you believe, but I think it is the single most viable option to the coming fossil fuel crisis.
