Getting credit card numbers off the net
Do you know how hard it is to get credit card numbers removed the a website.
I got one of those phishing emails the other day from visa, so I went to it, started removing parts of the url to see where I could go, and I went to a directory that held all this guys files.
one file, called nike.txt had credit card numbers, their pic numbers and CVV2 numbers, this was information people had put in to the fake visa page. I reloaded it several times and the list grew!
So me being the good american I am, I called bellsouth.net (where the pages were hosted), I got someone in India who had no friggin clue what I was talking about, so I went to the Visa website and got their number for lost/stolen cards, called them, again, got someone in another country ewho did not have a clue, so then I figured fuck them, I am going to just call the FBI, I called the FBI about this and the card numbers being stolen, they told me to call the US marshall's who told me to call the US Secret Service, the secret service guy told me to print out what I had and mail it to them and they would give it to an agent to look at. I asked him in the mean time, all these people were going to get ripped off, he ignored the comment and repeated himself to mail it to him.
Its no wonder ID theft and fraud is such a big problem in the US... law enforcement does not give a shit. After this crap... I just let it go...people want to get ripped off by giving their info to a fake site at bellsouth...I guess they deserve it...
I did capture the list of card numbers tho..
