I put in the first three digits of my pager number, and set it to dial a number, wait X seconds and then dial my friends home phone number, then hang up and continue. It's not as funny as most of the rest of these, but it was funny back then. He go just over 100 phone calls in just a couple of hours, and few others later. Everything from random people to carpet cleaning services, to really pissed off people.
We used ProComm and Telix for Windows as a war dialer on a few occasions. We'd just schedule it to make round-the-clock calls to people who'd piss me off (mostly local companies that telemarketed me repeatedly, or constant wrong numbers).
