Wow...I figured we would get a mix of responses about this....some good, some bad.
Here's the deal.....
This concept was first mentioned to me about 6 months ago. I didn't like it at all and wanted nothing to do with it.
Then I saw that Earthlink is offering it for free and AOL had plans to do the same. Those are the two largest ISP's in the US.
If you guys think that our little program is going to even but a tiny dent in your business, then you're giving us way too much credit. We don't have that kind of market reach
The bottom line is that I want to make as much money on consoles as possible, just like the rest of you. But, if someone is going to buy or use console killing software, then I want them to buy it from us and I want our affiliates to make a little money from it.
At CashQuest...it's all about choices.
1. You can choose to promote our tours with consoles
2. You can choose to promote out tours without consoles
3. You can promote a console killer program if it makes sense for YOU to do so.
As you'll notice....we're not pushing the KillThatConsole program on our tours or consoles. We certainly don't want to PUSH people too this.
However, there are situations where this might be a good item to sell. For example, what are the chance of a surfer who's on the 5th console of a TGP site actually buying a membership somewhere?
We need to remember, the VAST majority of surfers never pull out their credit cards to buy an adult membership. THAT is the target customer for this product......
With all due respect, I don't care what the owners of other webmaster programs think about our program, but I do care about what our affiliates think.
If we get more negative feedback from our affiliates than positive, we'll pull the program. Afterall, it's all about making our affiliates happy.....
