How much did you leave on the table yesterday?

We've all been there before. Whether it's betting in a card game or on a sporting event or even negotiating something you're selling. After it's over you ask yourself "If I had done this or that then would I have made more money?" or "What did I leave on the table?"

The problem with these decisions is that they are based on chance or unknown variables so they all fall in the "What if I had...." category.

Now let's talk about business, YOUR business in particular. How much did you leave on the table yesterday? If your are truly in business to make money, which is why I think most people are, then you should ask yourself this question EVERY day! Then try not to continue to waste time day after day doing those things that are not related to making money for your business.

You should of course set aside free time every day to collect your thoughts or chat on the boards but ask yourself "IS that "Free Time" exceeding the amount of time I should be doing business?" If the answer is "YES" then "You probably left money on the table yesterday!"
