First, after the influx of illegal immigrants, the British stopped protecting the settlers that were squatting on Arab land. Which is still a problem in Israel to this day. The Irgun was formed to protect those settlers. Secondly, why would the British protect the Jews when they are also committing terrorist acts against them. They were not supposed to be there, and the British were trying to stop them from even entering the country.

I am in complete agreement. I have had this argument many times on here. Americans complain about terrorism, yet their founding fathers were nothing more than terrorists to the crown.
One mans patriot it another mans terrorist.
Oh, in regards to what this has to do with the situation at hand. One of the first things you will hear when anyone explains why Israel should exist, is the argument that the Jews are an oppressed and meak people who do harm to nobody. And that is completely false. The Israelite people are no strangers to terrorism, violence, and genocide against their enemies.
