Just an anecdote Air - sometimes it's simple things that impress most.
Was going to collect mail and the office was closed and ended up speaking with a very old lady sitting outside.
She covered the history, least her history while she lived there and the terminology was "ancient". Example.. she used to sell fish at St. Johns when "the men of war" used to sail in.
That must have been early 20th century or late 19th the last time "men of war" sailed into St Johns.
Another time, we were going to an open air concert and they were issuing plastic wrist-straps to ID those who paid. Jokingly I says I was not wearing that shit - back comes the reply, "It's OK - you are free here. It's not the same plastic cuffs they use in Florida"
Got nada but good stuff from the people there and two of the best maids ever, were in Antigua.
