My Supra is hardly a ricer, and with 514 rear wheel horsepower on pump gas, will stomp nearly any production car on the road. Running on race gas the car is just plain silly at nearly 700 to the wheels. That's 800 horsepower at the motor!
Right now I'm getting the TRD widebody kit put on it. It will look pretty much the same but be several inches wider all around. Why you ask? Not just for looks, but to fit these bad boys on so I can have some traction:

I'm not big in to cars like I used to be. I've rediscovered my love of sport bikes and I sold my Corvette last summer.
All I'm saying is don't discount American Sportscars as being competitive. Remember where the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo will come from. The Viper and the C6 Z06 are also bad ass sports cars that really handle. There's plenty of C5 Vettes running around with as much power as single turbo Supras and laying down amazing numbers.
Try to remember that making fun of somebody with $100 worth of mods on their mom's DX Civic is not the same thing as saying Japan doesn't make some fast cars..Comment

I am and always will be a ferrari fan .. but the 360 modena really isn't that fast for today's standards (it's got a 0-60 of like 4.5 seconds). I mean - it's fast as hell, but there are a number of stock cars that can give them a run for their money now ... the new m3s and late model M roadsters (the 315 HP version), mustang svt, a lot of corvettes..., an assload of lower end porsches (carrera's and such), I don't think it's that far out of line to think that a car, such as a lancer evo, or wrx sti, with a stock 0-60 of very low 5's could be modified to take another 1/2 second off the 0-60 time. But ... there's no doubt in my mind which car would be better to own .. for sooooo many reasons.-TaDoW
