Basically.. there is nothing "fair" in conflict - on both sides.
Those who fight what could be described as "unfairly", are using the tools they have - they don't have Apache gunships nor can they launch missles by pressing a button 200 miles away. They fight with the only tools they do have - it has been that way since the dawn of time. We would all do the same, come crunch time.
Who knows, but suspect nothing will change till forces of occupation are removed totally. Even after that, there is a few "domestic issues" to clear up.
There are no winners in this - never will be. No conventional forces have ever "defeated" those engaged in guerilla (or "terrorist") warfare. The people now on the "other side" in the Middle East are the same group/s who convinced Russia to pack up and leave the area - they are used to "invaders".
Suggestions of "changing cultures" is even more absurd now. Incidents viewed have already incited retaliatory action and the longer "incidents" continue, - the more "anti" there will be. It costs far more to change "minds" than has ever been spent on this "war". Anyways, it is not the prerogative of any other nation to change the culture of another - that's just sheer arrogance.
