I know someone that now I realize used me for whatever suited their needs, led me to believe we were friends over a couple years, and then took off when I wasn't needed anymore.

Yep, but the sad thing is that I didn't heed the warnings that were given me. I got a LOT of "I told you so!" when the screw over happened.
Sometimes I think I'm a better judge of people than I really am.
