I was going to open up this site as just a regular free site but I've been considering the option of setting it up as a 3rd party cross promotion website for paysite owners that also gives you additional content for your members at no cost to you or your members. Before I chose which route to take I wanted to get some feedback from you guys (paysite owners that is) to validate the concept or include features you might want should the concept appeal to you.
In a nutshell, you put up a link in your members section that goes to this new site - user signs up free of charge and gets a pretty nifty service too
We do this across *many* paysites and what we wind up with is a user base that is cream of the crop. Sure we'll bring in outside new members to keep the traffic fresh and flowing - but there will be a large base of people that we all know has joined a paysite before - for you to market to.
As a paysite owner who's participating in the program and sending members in you'll get to:
- Create classified ads to sell your upsells with your own linking code in it so you won't have to share any commissions with anyone - including me
- Market to the members - send announcements out about your paysite - and should work great with trials.
- Upload galleries (again with your codes [or rather no codes] so you're not paying anyone commissions
- If you run a club - you'll benefit from having a great user base to market to and create a following for your club - swingers, voyeurs and the like...
- If you have live shows (great for single girl websites) - you can be a scheduled event and get people to join your site while watching your show.
- I'm open to ideas to make it successful for everyone participating
Members can't create classifieds, events or clubs so your promotions aren't buried in spam. If you've visited other sites like this - you know exactly what I'm talking about too.
This doesn't effect your promotional webmaster base - since your link inside the members section is already a paid join (you most likely paid a webmaster their commission) - they won't be losing out in revenue)
Yes, you will be competing with the other paysites to gain new members - but you're doing that now to an unknown user base AND paying commissions to the webmasters promoting your sites. I would expect to have slightly better conversion ratio's for you because the user base is from other paysites so we know they pull out the CC when they find a site they like and remember - there are no linking codes so you keep the full price of the join to yourself.
What's in it for me?
Well, not every paysite is going to participate and for those that don't - I'll put up some galleries that'll have my linking code in them but my stuff won't be any more advantageous than yours - I'll be competing on the same level as you to get a membership join - I'm not going to play favorites with myself.
If you want to be a featured listing, I'll charge a few bucks but I'm not interested in riddling the site with banners to generate some revenue - that slows the site down and wouldn't be visually pleasing.
Anyway - what's good about it, what's bad, what would you like to see built into the system? The goal here is to make it win-win for everyone so I'm open to any ideas you have. It's already a heavily modified script I purchased so adding more stuff shouldn't be that difficult
