As for BJJ it does seem to be dominant in a ring...but picture this...you and your BJJ buddy are getting in a fight with 5 street fighters outside a bar...I hope you can incapacitate all off them at once ...

I also have a few years in BJJ as well as most karate and such dojos are now learning it and implementing it...the basic were there from Judo anyways...
