First of all, people seem to think that I am advocating the execution of all our troops. I'm not. Only the ones who had a hand in the torture incidents. Those are also the ones I am speaking of when I said "Fuck the Troops", even though that may not have been clear in the thread. Now, with that clarification made, I say again:

FUCK THE TROOPS and FUCK YOU!
There is no excuse for the torture and bullshit that has gone on. Even the "I'm just following orders" excuse is null and void here. Every member of the armed services, and I do mean every member, who has partaken in these barbaric acts knows the difference between RIGHT and WRONG and they choose to follow these orders anyway.... every person who had any part of this should be lined up against a wall and SHOT.
This is the most disgusting chapter in America's history. The current state of this country makes me absolutely sick.

I would admire your courage, as well, if you did something CONSTRUCTIVE with your feelings about this war. Start lobbying, campaigning, raise awareness, DO SOMETHING other than tear everyone else down. Nothing changes because you are bitching about it on GFY and insulting soldiers and those of us who respect their sacrifices and the impossible situation they are in, but maybe things would change if you spent half as much energy in action rather then hating everyone who doesn't agree with your point of view.

It dosent take any courage to hook someone's nuts to a car battery or whatever else they are doing. Except maybe to touch it if its your first time grabbing another man's cock... other than that, the actions of a pussy and/or fucked up person.
Look at how many people have tried campaigning, lobbying, etc. Its not making a difference. Why bother? Bush has said time and time again he is gonna stay the course. And he knows no one likes his little war. But he presses on anyway.

I doubt many vets approve of soliders going on torture sprees. And if they do, well fuck them too. Its wrong and it dosent matter how many people are willing to turn the other way, I am not.

lets see....
Choice A: Follow orders, life goes on. If you feel bad, see a priest and say some hail mary's
Choice B: Don't follow the orders, be court marshalled, charged with treason (which they can be given the death penalty for) among other charges brought forth by the government. Most likely do a stretch of 10 to 20 yrs in a federal, pound me in the ass prison. Get a dishonorable discharge, with which the government will make sure you never hold a job above burger flipper for the rest of your life
so tell me , how much of a choice do they really have.
Until you walk a mile in their boots, your best bet is to just shut the fuck up.

Sorry sicone, but your response illustrates exactly the attitude that has gotten us into this position. They are just following orders, doing their jobs. That rationalization has been used to justify countless illegal and inhumane actions throughout history from Hitler's little tirade to Saddams killing squads to Rodney King. Do you realize that Hitler would have never came to do all of his dirty deeds if just a handful of people around him had the courage to stand up and say no? Everyone has a choice. Including every member of our armed forces that partakes in this disgusting shit.
