I'm sorry, but that is how it is in the US. A lot of kids play soccer up until they are 9 or 10 and then move on to football. The kids that play soccer usually end up being the kids who aren't big enough or strong enough to play football, or aren't allowed to because of their parents. There are exceptions, but this is the case a majority of the time.
Soccer is simply not that appealing to the US when you compare it to our other sports.

You know there is a whole world out there, much larger than your US. You should try to learn something from others, narrowing your horizons is what can make you a redneck, no matter where you live. I don't say that it should be appealing to you, but you care about bashing football you should try at least to understand it, like others do with the american sports. You're not the center of the world, you know...
