I disagree. Blaming tv, movies and video games is a major copout. I believe that feeding people's fantasies is a good thing, because fantasy anything hurts no one. It is only REALITY that hurts people. I'd rather have a few thousand sickos killing and raping people in a video game than in real life. Take away the fantasy and all they have left is reality.

No, you're wrong. Look at our world, our society, our way of life. People are afraid to go outside, afraid to walk in certain neighborhoods, afraid to say "boo". All because of violence. Kids see violence daily and become familiar with it, like you're familiar with porn. Porn has little effect on you. Violence has little effect on these kids. They see it as just another day.
Look at the children of war torn countries. They see violence daily, they fight daily. Killing is nothing to these children. Soon our children will be the same. Doom, Counter Strike, Quake... all teaching children that violence is ok.
You speak of fantasy. Fantasies are learned. If the children never learn of killing and violence, they can't transform it to a really.
