Seriously though... cats are vile, hateful creatures that exist just to take up space. No matter how much time you spend with them they will always just go off and do their own thing. Will a cat help you or your family if a robber breaks in and rapes your wife at gunpoint (or for a sexier scenario, knife point?) Fuck no it won?t. The cat would just sit there and probably get a chubby from watching. A dog would sacrifice its own life trying to defend its owners as long as you treat it good.
