You're right, it does go on... health care, pensions, the 40 hour work week, minimum wages, healthy working conditions, paid vacations, sick days, maternity leave.
If we didn't have unions America's work force would have it about as good as China's does. Read the People's History of America if you're interested in finding out what working conditions were like here a couple hundred years ago before unions and other populist/socialist groups fought and died to win us the rights all workers take completely for granted these days. These rights weren't just given to workers because the shareholders were feeling generous. If it weren't for unions nobody in America would have any of the benefits or rights I just mentioned. If all unions disapeared tomorrow, we would lose every one of them within a decade.
Obviously, you haven't been around quite long enough.
I'm not saying anything about a union being good for this business, I think we're too international for that to work. I just don't agree with your assessment that unions have been a negative force in the non adult world.
Although, notice that almost no adult industry workers have many of the rights I mentioned before. People in most industries take them for granted these days.
