Joking aside (yes the circumstance is odd/funny), but I actually do think Jay-Z's stance has some merit. If you read what was said, and understand how much of an impact rappers have on mainstream culture & buying trends you will understand what a slap in the face this is.
Decade later that same company in a roundabout way says "they are embarrassed" to have such a large urban demographic. It's ridiculous. Yes, and I'm an irish white guy who typically doesn't give two shit for boycotts/anything with racial overtones.
