Is the other registrar just delaying, trying to hold onto the domain? I don't see how in this day and age, transfers aren't remarkably fast.

I already sent out the approval of transfer email and the seller agreed to it.

My registrar says I am in this phase still:

Pending Registry Approval
We have submitted the transfer request to the current registrar of the domain. Please contact your current registrar to make sure they will approve the domain transfer without delay.

I sent the seller and email and he contacted his registrar and said to approve the transfer.

They gave him this response:

You will need to wait for an email from GKG. We have to wait for confirmation
from the registry which we have not yet received. Once you receive the email, it will be worded in such a way that says... "To cancel this transfer, click here, or wait 5 days and it will go through automatically". The wording is required to be that way per ICANN, so we can not change it, but you can also click on the same link that you would normally cancel with, and instead click on the APPROVE button. Then the transfer will go through immediately.
