I'm sure if I were to sit down with a group of Iranian citizens for dinner and a few drinks,we'd all get along just fine.I do quite a bit of business with China, and even though we really don't understand each other all that well,we do get along great.

Agree. I don't have any US friends who actually spout about "hating" any nation - and also know two Iranian's who, got to say, are a lot better educated than the average GFY member and they don't spend their time "hating" either. And, sure as hell, we will remain friends despite any bullshit from their leaders or governments.
Always thought, - and I'll make a point of doing this sometime, - if the average person from another country read some of the stuff on GFY about them and re "nations", - what would they think?

Got the feeling they'd be kinda shocked and disgusted and wonder if they were reading stuff written by "aliens" from another galaxy.
The vast majority of "national hate" is instigated, propogated and managed by governments on an agenda - basically to raise the "anti" and give whatever government an "excuse" for whatever. Don't think it is common in any nation that, on average, the citizens have tendencies to even spend two seconds "hating" whatever nation - it's a "learned hatred" resulting from propaganda and dogma. It's sad that the bullshit obviously works, but it's well-proven - the living proof is in GFY.
