When the government regulates you out of business and you have to sell your house to pay debts, when all you've got left is your car and it quits on you, and your family can't help you because your father just came down with something his health insurance won't cover and he's burned through his savings on experimental treatments, you may feel differently. Especially if you have children depending on you.
But of course, bad things can't happen to YOU. Certainly not more than one at a time.
