True freedom is a citizens ability to protest ANYWHERE and ANYTIME they feel like it without ANYONE of authority being able to stop it. Unfortunately this is no longer legal in the US.
I used to feel that way too, until I joined the real world, bought a house, and started running businesses.

If I see a bunch of greasy kids in Che Guevara t-shirts marching down my street, I WANT the cops to step in and put a stop to it. Look at all the anti-globalization marches that have turned into anarchist riots.

Nobody's taking away your right to peaceably assemble, just don't do it on some other person's private property.
