Just because I've never built a car doesn't mean I don't know anything about the auto industry. I buy traffic from most of the "big boys" in the TGP game and I know whose traffic is quality and whose is garbage.
The nastydollars/bangbros guy started in the TGP side of this business, and they also run some of the biggest and most successful affiliate programs.
So I was just saying that selling it to a program doesn't mean the death of a site.

This is the emotional attachment I was talking about, it's bad for business.
I'm guessing he didn't hold out for the big money for the reason you stated...he's having some sort of financial emergency and this was the only real "asset" he had to liquidate.
Also I think a real "testament" to your success would be if the person who bought if failed miserably so you could say the site was successful in the past only because of you.
If you sell to Pierre or Shap and they turn the site into twice what it was that's not a testament to your success, it's a testament to them being better than you at this game.
