Note: The ftp client and server programs already exist on your servers.

Also, you could use scp. :-) My personal favorite....

Do it like this:

cd into the directory where your source files are...

cd /home/someshit

then

scp -Cpr * [email protected]:/home/somepath/tosomeshit

the system will ask you for the password to the other box and voila, it copies.
