I think your missing the point about giving credit to the person who's picture it is
Like i said i realise it would be much faster and easier , the point was that the only way to give credit is to manually download edit crop, re-put up and insert a link , whereas i just insert the pic url in my url dont download anything . its all done for me. AND the person gets credit everytime bandwidth is used. The only downside is its slow.. thats just because both his server is slow and my server is slow.. use the link structure of the original pic url and post a hotlinked pic in a new thread to see what i mean. ( its barely noticeable difference on a fast connection )
With your way if the site owner decides he no longer wants to allow us to hotlink the pic he may remove it and my link will lno longer work, whereas with your method he has no input , and gets no credit.. thats a bit unfair..
