I know that we outsource a bunch of work to them but is it a safe place for an American to visit?

I'm thinking about outsourcing some aspects of my call center and would have to fly there to meet with the company that I have (thinking about) contracting to do my work.

Has anyone here ever travelled there or should I travel with body guards?
