As for the Australia being over there. Meh whatd'a ya do. When 85% of the country disagrees and yet Johnny in all his senile dementia, ships them out anyway. But hey we send our troops all over the globe, must be the latest political fad or something.

Hitler and Sadam were different dudes from different times.
One main comparison might be when Sadam rolled his troops in kuwait as a first stop in controlling the middle east. Hitler was just more successful because it took longer for the Ameicans to show up.
I am not an expert on Australia, but I imagine it is just like the US when it comes to foreign policy. The loud minority spends the majority of their efforts convincing themselves they are the loud majority.
The minority party in the US ran an anti-war, tax raising candidate up who saluted during his more important speech and promised to keep tax cuts in place for 99% of the country. His "just shut up and trust me" platform didn't capture any votes away from the majority. The loud minority then spent their time convincing each other that the voting machines must have been rigged. Simple math was thrown out the windown.
Meanwhile, the majority of the country when back to living their lives and enjoying themselves until the mainstream media remindes they how much they are hurting because the president has manipulated gas prices , subsequently forcing them to spend less while they are on vacation this summer.
