Who said anything about "before Iraq"? I'm talking about now. I'm talking about Al Qaeda's propaganda campaign against the USA now. When we (US) went into Afghanistan then Iraq, their entire propaganda campaign was to make the Muslim world hate the countries actively involved in the 'Coalition of the Willing'. From the day US forces stepped into the middle east, Al Qaeda (supposedly) has released dozens of videos warning the nations of this coalition the consequences of continuing with the war at their own homeland.
Yes, Al Qaeda hates the west and targeted everything country in the west prior to the war in Iraq and prior to 2002. However, it does not make sense for them to
JUST target Canada (with a significant amount of arsenal as the news states they found) because as far as I know Canada does not have a lot of their forces in the area.
SO- getting to my point here and also reiterating in plain english for those who didn't understand my question, when I asked "How does that make sense?" - this was a rhetorical question.
I said it does not make sense because I can only postulate from this that they WERE and still are planning a simultaneous strike on the west. Not just on Canada. The fact that they had terror probe arrests in UK last week only supports my idea. Which actually scares me a little that they haven't found any activity within the continental US (minus the two Georgia kids a month ago).
Anyway, bottom line: al qaeda sucks.
