I can appreciate that alot of people have a really great time at them... and I don't wanna take that away, but is it really worth $2k to $5k or whatever it runs now, just to walk around talking to a few people about stuff you could just as easily talk about across the Net? amp I agree with you 100% but then again there is always this question. What place do I have in this industry? Im sure a designer of your caliber if you were to go to a convention would have made your money back in one project. Many many people make their living by the valuable connections they make at these conventions.One word I have always lived by is you have to spend money to make money.Sure there are parties and the such but the vibe that I got was always buisness first even while getting a lap dance(thanks Blackkitty.com crew).
