and no... it's not harmful. your body can handle it. water soluable vitamins get pissed out if they are taken in excess. fat soluable vitamins have to be ingested in absurd quantities for any sort of toxicity problems to occur.
there is a lot of BS about vitamins not dissolving etc etc etc etc... 99% bullshit. i am not saying it doesn't happen. but just because Joe Bobs Vitamin company makes a shitty product and you were dumb enough to buy them from an ad in the back of a comic book... does not mean that they are typical of ALL vitamins.
there are standards by which all vitamins are processed and criteria for how quickly they must be broken down and dissolved. if you are overly concerned about this and for whatever reason think that your typical mainstream multivatamin is going to be passed through your body and not be broken down by the VERY strong acids and enzymes in your stomach and intestinal tract, then look for those which are approved by and meet the standards of the United States Pharmacopoeia and other similar organizations.
