the funny thing is... i started this thread beacause i wiss pissed off at a sponsor... heres the gist of it:
sponsor A: converts at 1 in 150-200
sponsor B: converts at 1 in 1600-1700
sponsor b has better tours, content, etc...
so whats wrong with this picture? they are mad shaving....
i understand business. if a program has a retention rate of 1.5 months at $29.95 and pay out $35 join then i understand thats too tight margins (factoring in costs) to pay that.. so tell me what you can pay without shaving.. but like anything, even if a program said "ok, we can only pay out $15 with no shaving" temptation would only get the better of them in time (imho) and they would end up shaving anyway.
as a test to this i am starting my own paysite in sept/oct feeding it with my own traffic only... then i can see for sure what kinda shaving % seems to be the industry standard....
