Anything could happen but I don't think this will happen during this term. We have been wanting to stomp a mudhole in Iran's ass since the late 70's... but we have waited for the right moment. This isn't it. Now, the next president will probably take this and run with it after the Iraq troops have been decomissioned... but not before they leave the area.
