I think the last thread I responded about this scenario was a little closer to - an Iranian "flagged" freighter is headed towards a major US harbor - it is discovered that it is under control of Iranian backed terrorists including a small nuclear device onboard. We destroy it just outside the harbor with the visual of the N-bomb going off and "what could have happened if the ship had made it to port" press releases.

This would all lead to the US leaving the UN and ordering its representatives out of the country, no longer supporting its charters, and leading to the already calculated escalation in the middle east that has been planned for for over 20 years.

From there its not a big step to the religious zealotry that God told Bush to be ready to support
