My first check was from "some guy". I had a daily bikini site, and he wanted to pay me to put up an ad to his preggo site. I told him to send a check and would put the banner up for one month. He sent me a check for $2k. The following month he wanted to two banners, and sent me a check for $4k.
I was hooked.
After that my first check was from ICS.
