Good eating habits are crucial, but kids can't learn to eat right if they aren't introduced to it at a very early age.

kudos to you for giving your children an opportunity to actually live a longer, more healthy and productive life. chances are your children will be happier, more energetic, and make more money, with a better emotional outlook on life.
much negativity comes from not feeling GOOD---and feeling good means we must take responsibility for what we do with our bodies.
the truth about nutrition has been known for many years, but like anything else, people must take advantage of the wisdom for it to do any good.
children do not have a choice much about what they eat. this comes from their caregivers, and establishes the foundation for what they will eat as adults and what they will feed to THEIR children, and if we start them right this bodes well for our future offspring many generations down the line.
it is critical today in this age of commercially processed "food" which is produced for PROFIT and marketability that we begin to take responsibility for what we put in our bodies.
this means understanding nutrition, reading labels at the supermarket, and eating for health, rather than pleasure.
and as we get older this becomes more important.
good health is accomplished mostly through nutrition and exercise, there is no "magic bullet".
but tangible results are within anyone's grasp who will take the initative to do something about it for THEMSELVES.
today is memorial day, and most everyone in america is relaxing and drinking beer and eating barbecue ribs.
i won't eat barbecue today, i've already had my big bowl of oatmeal, milled flaxseed, walnuts, and raisins.
and this afternoon in our subdivision we have a community work party, painting the horse stable, fixing fences, and doing landscaping in the common area, etc.
and i am age 56, and i have watched my diet for years and ride my bike 10 miles every single day, and i will be able to work all afternoon starting right after lunch.
and no one else will, from teenagers to adults, no one else. and it is the same every fucking year. i am the only flat belly in the group.
ok sermon over. eat to live, take care of your body. make more money, bang more beaver. life is valuable and finite.
