Phoenix from the flame you will return as you are
I'll remember it And Dublin in a rainstorm And sitting in the long grass in summer Keeping warm I'll remember it Every restless night We were so young then We thought that everything We could possibly do were the right Then we moved Stolen from our very eyes And I wondered where you went to Tell me when did the light die You will rise You'll return The phoenix from the flame You will learn You will rise You'll return Being what you are There is no other Troy For you to burn And I never meant to hurt you I swear I didn't mean Those things I said I never meant to do that to you Next time I'll keep my hands to myself instead Oh, does she love you What do you want to do? Does she need you like I do? Do you love her? Is she good for you? Does she hold you like I do? Do you want me? Should I leave? I know you're always telling me That you love me Just sometimes I wonder If I should believe Oh, I love you God, I love you I'd kill a dragon for you I'll die But I will rise And I will return The Phoenix from the flame I have learned I will rise And you'll see me return Being what I am There is no other Troy For me to burn And you should've left the light on You should've left the light on Then I wouldn't have tried And you'd never have known And I wouldn't have pulled you tighter No I wouldn't have pulled you close I wouldn't have screamed No I can't let you go And the door wasn't closed No I wouldn't have pulled you to me No I wouldn't have kissed your face You wouldn't have begged me to hold you If we hadn't been there in the first place Ah but I know you wanted me to be there oh oh Every look that you threw told me so But you should've left the light on You should've left the light on And the flames burned away But you're still spitting fire Make no difference what you say You're still a liar You're still a liar You're still a lawyer |

Lightning cracks the sky Hear a lonely cry Eyes full of pain Searchin' in the darkness Eyes pierce the night Calling for her young one As she walks towards the light It's the night of the wolf Hear the cry of the wolf Streets paved with gold Night gives out a warning There's thunder in her heart And mother wolf is calling Searchin' in the shadows For the one she must save She cries out a prayer Like a song from beyond the grave It's the night of the wolf Hear the cry of the wolf The bells will toll No one will sleep tonight While she alone will Walk the streets tonight Sun begins to rise All the streets washed with rain Still hear her cries Eyes burnt with pain Returning to the twilight Betrayed by the night Screaming for her young one As she walks towards the light It's the night of the wolf Hear the cry of the wolf It's the night of the wolf Hear the cry of the wolf It's the night of the wolf Hear the cry of the wolf Lightning cracks the sky Hear a lonely cry |

Lightning crashes a new mother cries Her placenta falls to the floor The angel opens her eyes The confusion sets in Before the doctor can even close the door Lightning crashes an old mother dies Her intentions fall to the floor The angel closes her eyes The confusion that was hers Belongs now to the baby down the hall Oh now feel it, comin' back again Like a rollin', thunder chasing the wind Forces pullin' from The center of the earth again I can feel it. Lightning crashes a new mother cries This moment she's been waiting for The angel opens her eyes Pale blue colored iris Presents the circle And puts the glory out to hide, hide Oh now feel it, comin' back again Like a rollin', thunder chasing the wind Forces pullin' from |

lol and gracias. I need to get some sleep so I can give my far-too-patient-with-my-slacker-ass-these past-two-days listees some proper attention tomorrow. not sure if I've mentioned it before but I work with the wickedest women (and a couple dudes) on the planet. they're so good for me and seriously make me feel amazing every day. they were like happy I took some time off. I get to work with my friends. so awesome. really lucky.
one last one. hate rock music with almost a militant passion but this is absolutely on my top 50 list of fav tracks ever. have no idea why but I love it
