tough time deciding on tube script

i need something that permits video embeds and ads on OTHER sites, as well as nice video/photo management and mobile support.

what do you like/dislike about each script?

Pretty good choice here, especially for the unlimited domains part.

I think you allow for open script so you can edit some of the code too right? If not... my bad, but still a good product

I'm not sure if I read that correctly. If you embed all your videos you will get exactly nowhere

you read it wrong. i don't want to embed videos on my site, i want other people to embed my videos on their sites.

most of the scripts provide an embed code for each video, but i want to have an export option for webmasters to use.

As a host to more than dozens of clients who have many more dozens of MechBunny installs, I can tell you that it scales exceptionally well when your traffic or content base grows to require multiple servers. Further, that just about all of the largest tubes either use his script or started with that code base before modifying.

Because I talk to my clients and understand their business model and how it profits, I would also tell you that on volume even with excluding a lot of countries by geoIP you will be very challenged to monetize on embeds unless you're truly on top of managing your stuff and also using pre/post roll adverrising.

i agree. my host spoke well of that and stp in regards to the lack of complaints he gets about those scripts.

i did check out an admin demo that konrad hooked me up with pretty fast, so i like the level of communication already.

i'm already a smart-scripts customer, but godsmack hasn't replied in days via icq or pm, and for some reason i can only access the site via proxy. not digging that at all.

konrad, if you're out there, you might have a new customer by tomorrow!!

now i just need a designer who isn't busy on a friday!

I don't have much experience with tube scripts but Tube Ace fucking blows, the amount of obvious bugs and pain in the ass editing I noticed when working with it was mind blowing even for an amateur programmer like me, if that is one of the best that the tube script market has to offer then all I have to say is wow.

If you found any bugs you should have reported them to me so they can be fixed asap. The script even has a test server page to test your php/server configuration. 99% of the "bugs" are really the wrong path to ffmpeg (or not installed), .htaccess file not uploaded, or a simple needed php.ini adjustment.

not yet. i have a few who i always work with, but keep my eyes open for new designers too.

did a search and a lot of the active ones kinda suck or they think $300 for a script integration is a good price. sorry, i'm not feeding families of 9 in the Philippines and you're not a doctor, so you don't need to price like one when you're not even that good and you're outsourcing.

asking webmasters and hosts is a good place to start on reviews. kinda like what i did with this thread.

before you ask, figure out exactly what you want and find the scripts you're interested in.
