This is the one that our company has the most problems with. Sure we don't want our shit stolen and uploaded to tubes but if the tubes are going to leave them there at least link to the fucking site in the watermark so we have some chance of getting traffic.

I never expected them to release the video. After reading the account on MikeSouth.com I really wish I could have been there. After hearing this I don't think there is any way in hell that they will be releasing the portion with Mike South asking the questions and PornHub being questioned by others in the audience about piracy. Fabian has probably been calling around and threatening holy hell if they do.

As I, among others, have said many times. Manwin has been showing themselves at conferences for years. No one goes up and punched them out, makes a scene, or anything else in regards to the threats and bullshit said on the forums. Just like no one would say anything to Mallick if he was at an adult conference. He would walk around and collect his BRO drinks as if nothing happened.

While it wasn't like "Mouth of the South" was telling off Fabian directly. He at least had the balls to stand up and make his voice heard in the conference to one of their 'lackeys'. He put him money where his 'mouth' is and actually said something, versus just making another GFY post about it.

Ya know... because 'that' has been real successful in stopping the recurring issues.

JFK, since you are the person that taped the event, find out from whom you handed the tapes off to, who currently has the material, and when they plan to post it (since supposedly they said they would edit and post it).

Hopefully X-Biz will prove to have more credibility than AVN did with their sham investigation of Dee Cash and Media Revenue (I guess AVN didn't have anything, since the FBI has done nothing since Theo turned over the trove of suspicious/criminal information which their exhaustive several month investigation yielded).

Funny how the cockroaches at Manwin always retreat back into the dark recesses whenever the light is cast upon their shady operations.

Not one thing I said side tracked this thread, it was completely relevant to Mike, Manwin, and his article. Even funnier, Fabian has said a few times on this board that r would happily implement any anti piracy measures anyone develops and of course, no one does because actually doing something would destroy the "I'm failing because of someone else" line many in this biz rely so heavily on to get them through the day

Whats hard to do? Require uploaders to state they have the right to distribute the content, collect IP's and times and dates. When removal requests arrive, remove the content and ban the IP and poster. Or implement a 3 strikes rule like youtube does for multiple violations.

I do a lot of work with the tubes but I do so through their Content Partner Programs and (generally) have no issues with piracy on the tubes. But sometimes I do find a video of "mine" that is uncredited to me (no links, etc) and when I bring it to their attention they usually move it to my account, giving me links, etc etc.

But as to the points Mike made (questions he asked) and, of course, Robbie's input, the fact that ALL the tubes don't implement stricter security measures IS a mystery.

It's not a huge technical feat to automate a solution where sites can be crawled and videos identified. Your solution is you being a fucking moron. Obviously 1000's of paysites aren't going to have their own email address on their own domain. Obviously a huge company with 1000's of submissions a day is not going to review each video and obviously that destroys the safe harbor protection and opens them to liability for even a songle failure or misidentification. Furthermore affiliates submit sponsor content which you also ignore. But hey, why let basic common sense get in the way of your self promoting, self agrandinzing e-whoring?
