OK, how do i do this?

O.K, while working my regular job and messing around I came up with an Idea of creating a website sharing our warped views on religion based on a sea creature. We want to have a free forum and eventually turn it into a non profit adventure for saving the Reef's and other sea creatures. We thought of all kinds of ways to spread the word like t shirts, videos, and so on. But we are stuck in one area......

How do we combined the seriousness of the two? I mean we want to have fun with using our social philosophic abilities and combining religious / metaphysical views with sea creatures in a humorous tone, but also be serious at the same time for raising awareness of our oceans.

Thus the dilemma? Any suggestions?

I suggest you proceed with the videos - I've never seen any of your videos you have now, but try to "create" the monster. There's interesting video of a hairy mammoth that crosses a river somewhere in Siberia . The only thing is that this is blurry image - in age of modern technologies, where with cell phone you can do clear zoom to anything you want. You can do the same, so you can get the same effect. Try "creating" a new word and build a myth - like a story - here according to the legends ( that's your legend) but people don't know that, people love stories. - include a love story. A beautiful maiden 200 years ago, a rich old trader, and young, but poor sailor - so you can see the drama.
What do we have - a rock, where the beautiful made put end on her life, a cave, where the sailor hid himself. According to the legends he turned him self into a sea monster and his spirit roams around. bla-bla bla. Anyone who wants to make a photo to that rock please come and visit us. According to the legends all the girls who wants to find the love of their lives should come and touch that rock (that includes all the divorcee), etc.

Create a statue of the characters. Costumes and hire persons to play the girl, trader and the sailor. Include the character of the good priest who tried to save the love, but did not make it and make some additional changes with the idea so it won't look too much like Romeo and Juliet. If you can some kind of story like this you might be able to transfer your main ideas with the reef along with the story....

That's what I think . my
