I personally would feel better knowing some additional layers of security were being considered, and a statement about ePassporte's position on the use of their service for online gambling.

Here's the deal.. If they mention more security that would mean that their security was lax and open them to liability.

You will hear no gambling talk nor security talk... you will only hear "ear candy".

They are gong to blow smoke up your ass and lead you down the primrose path long enough for you to be lulled into believing that the problems were not theirs.

I foretold the demise of MyVirTualCard/Paymonde long before they stole your money and ran and I am telling you that if you put your money in epass you are inviting the same problems that came from MVC/Paymonde = YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY.

Let me be the first to say: "I will no longer do business with epass. I will not send money nor will I receive money from people that use epass. I cannot in good conscious support a company that facilitates fraud."
I agree with you man. Good post!

After what happened with Neteller will epassporte escape unscathed?

like many others said, thanks for responding to customer concerns finally, and admitting to poor customer support

most times the companies say "well i never got that email" or "icq has been acting up" etc etc

I fail to see how a compromised password would fall under epassporte's "shitty security."

I have seen the stupid passwords people use to protect root access to their servers, I can only imagine how simple their epass passwords might be.

I would like to address the illegal activities question though.

Does epass consider online gambling transactions illegal?

Apparently they don't, since they keep doing business with online casinos. Which is why they will end up getting a stiff cock up their ass, no lube involved.

I'm surprised that a company would state / admit poor support, even if there is poor support, you're much better off to just state that fact of 'overwhelming growth' which therefore has caused much longer and inadequate support response times, and that you are fixing them.

Hope you keep us updated on the claims of banks not accepting ePassporte funds or whatever it is.

I wonder why there was no reply by Epassporte about unlocking of locked P2P transfers in robbed accounts.

I told them when I opened the new account that I specifically wanted all p2p transfers blocked. They set me up with a limited account and that was one of the limitations.

I am convinced this is an inside job, I get payments at all different times of the month, so what, somebody logs in every day, and just happens to log in right when I get paid? No f'ing way. Somebody on the inside would have had to unblock my p2p transfer limitation, and know when I got a big transfer loaded to my account, as I always pull my money out as soon as it gets there. This scumbag new about the funds before I did, and I initiated the payments to my account they day before.

They just got away with another 1350 dollars. They should be 100% responsible for this as my account was set up as a limited account. I will never use epassporte again, one hack is enough, but twice. Absolute bullshit.

Is there any legal action here or is this just another offshore legality bs issue. Epassporte is a pretty big company, I can't see how this can go on, and on, and on. Their security is prehistoric imo.

Most gfyers have no clue what it takes to operate a company like this.

with that said we pay over 100 affiliates with epassporte and have had NO issues what so ever!

I look forward to working with epass for years to come!

I don't think he cares, he is in the movie business now. All the problems posted on these boards and he never comes on to make things right or to at least make a statement. CCbill has problem they are all over it and if its big enough Ron is posting. Thats a company who gives a shit.

none of the companies have "went under" - they just stopped dealing with US online gambling so they don't get crushed by the feds -

i wish epass would address how they think they can avoid that fate while every other company decided they couldn't.

I can understand your situation and I tihnk it's kinda like this: Let's say there is a huge increase in the number of people getting hit by buses.. let's say from 1 / 100000 street crossings to 1 / 20000. You think "Hey, that's ok, the chances I'll get hit by a bus are still crazy low". Then your best friend gets hit by a bus and you say "Wow, Im never crossing the street again, it's too risky".
Nope... it is more like you read reports of people getting hit by buses and think maybe they were drunk and staggered out in front of the bus... or maybe they were PUSHED!?!?! The your best friend gets hit by a bus and you find out that the bus company is throwing people under the bus.

Now, *that* is a much more accurate metaphor for the current epass situation. They are throwing people under the bus and as long as they post some bullshit "official statement" about improving telephone support and email response times you people go right along like sheep to the slaughter.

What epass has given you is a Red Herring. They hope that by pointing out that they have improved their customer support system that you will forget that their security is slightly less effective than a high school gym locker long enough for you to put more money in their pockets.

If you use epass in the face of current security issues you are asking for a loss.

The phrase red herring has a number of specific metaphorical meanings, all sharing a general concept: something being a diversion or distraction from the original objective. These include:

* a type of logical fallacy in which one purports to prove one's point by means of irrelevant arguments (see Ignoratio elenchi).

* in literature, a plot device intended to distract the reader from a more important event in the plot, usually a twist ending. Most often, a red herring takes the form of a character.

* in detective work, mystery fiction, and puzzle-solving, a false clue which leads investigators, readers, or solvers towards an incorrect solution.

* in adventure games, an item or object of no practical use; its purpose may be to frustrate the gamer who tries to find the intended use for it.

* in finance, a red herring is a preliminary prospectus for a debt or equity offering that lists everything except the price and size of the offering.

* in academic examinations, particularly in mathematics and physical sciences, providing information that is useless to solve a given problem.

Roger.... I'm sure everybody here wishes they could say that they've never had a problem with ePassporte....but obviously that's not the case. You would probably have a different opinion of ePassporte if something got fucked up with your account and you spent 4 days trying to get someone on the phone - right? Or if you sent emails to ePassporte that weren't getting returned - right? Or you logged into your account to find most of your money gone - right? My point is that we are all thrilled that you've never had a problem with ePassporte but that doesn't mean that you won't have in the future or that others aren't having problems now.
